This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide legal guidance to the Company regarding its rights, responsibilities, and privileges.

• Evaluate, advise, and ensure adherence to state educational laws, including elementary, secondary, and charter school regulations.

• Guarantee compliance with the Company's and schools' policies relevant to public institutions managed by the Company, covering areas such as curriculum, special education, and school operations.

• Proactively identify and anticipate legal, educational, and business challenges.

• Advise school leadership in formulating legal and business strategies and solutions in scenarios that involve political, public relations, or financial risks or implications.

• Collaborate with legal representatives for districts and charter school boards.

• Prepare and negotiate management contracts for K-12 schools, institutional sales agreements, and strategic partnerships.

• Draft, review, assess, negotiate, develop, and verify complex contracts, including purchase agreements, customer contracts, statements of work (SOWs), master service agreements (MSAs), and other legal documents.

• Draft and negotiate vendor agreements, with a focus on licensing contracts.

• Interpret applicable laws, rulings, and regulations pertinent to the Company.

• Engage and oversee external legal counsel when specialized legal knowledge is required.

• Act as the Company's representative in transactions and provide support for dispute management.

• Advise internal teams regarding the Company's products.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree.

• A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in K-12 education law, with exposure to administrative, corporate, and contract law.

• Valid State Bar License.

• Strong interpersonal, leadership, negotiation, and consulting skills.

• Excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple high-priority projects while maintaining attention to detail.

• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

• Proficient in research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.) and web applications.

• Willingness to travel 5% of the time.

• Ability to pass the required background check.
