Assistant Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the Group Manager of Transmission Lines within the Power Delivery Engineering department.

• Design of electric transmission lines, conduct reviews, and enforce QA/QC protocols.

• Provide technical guidance and training to team members.

• Manage projects overall, engage with clients, and prepare proposals.

• Create specification packages along with structural and fabrication drawings.

• Execute design and analysis of transmission lines utilizing PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-Tower.

• Carry out foundation design and analysis tasks.

• Conduct electrical clearance checks and perform related calculations.

• Ensure adherence to client codes, standards, and specifications.

• Oversee the management of RFIs, review submittals, and ensure design compliance.

• Identify opportunities for cost savings through effective schedule control and scope management.

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the quality control of projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.

• Possession of a Professional Engineer (P.E.) License with reciprocity in several states.

• A minimum of 10 years of engineering experience managing moderate to major engineering projects.

• Proven experience in electric transmission line design.
