Assistant Director of Admissions – Upper Division

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct virtual interviews with potential students and their families during the admission cycle.

• Act as a primary admission counselor, assisting families throughout the application process from initial inquiry to enrollment.

• Assess applicant files, which include academic records, recommendations, interviews, and additional materials.

• Actively engage in candidate evaluations, file reviews, and discussions within the admissions committee.

• Maintain ongoing communication with prospective families via email, phone, and virtual meetings.

• Deliver presentations at virtual admission events, webinars, and informational sessions.

• Provide support for essential aspects of admissions operations, such as student tour guides, community-based organization partnerships, parent ambassadors, event management, and liaison with faculty/programs.

• Collaborate with the Admissions team to achieve enrollment targets and yield initiatives.

• Attend weekly team meetings virtually and assist with key events and meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is required.

• A minimum of one to three years of experience in an independent secondary school or college is preferred.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills along with proven problem-solving abilities.

• Proficiency in technology systems, including MS Office, Google Workspace, and Zoom.

• Familiarity with Slate is preferred.

• Strong skills in networking, marketing, and delivering presentations.

• Effective time management skills and a demonstrated ability to manage projects.

• The capacity to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse groups, including students from various backgrounds and underrepresented communities.
