Assistant Director – Design Thinking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Executive Leadership to gain insights into their business goals, challenges, and opportunities.

• Exhibit strong leadership capabilities, influencing and guiding teams towards successful outcomes.

• Manage and engage relationships with senior stakeholders at the CxO, Partner, and Functional Head levels.

• Conduct a swift assessment of the stakeholder landscape and provide insights to expedite actions aimed at refining their current state.

• Offer diverse and thought-provoking perspectives on transformations, including market trends and innovative ideas to enhance data-driven decision making.

• Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, complemented by a strategic mindset and keen attention to detail.

• Promote and enhance a culture of continuous improvement through the development of innovative ideas.

• Perform thorough analyses of the organization's processes and systems.

• Provide strategic recommendations and actionable plans to enhance business performance and transformation.

• Develop roadmaps for implementing project management, organizational change management, and design thinking initiatives.

• Lead and manage intricate projects from initiation to closure, ensuring timely delivery and quality results.

• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with clients and stakeholders.

• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement strategies for mitigation.

• Encourage effective communication and collaboration among project teams and stakeholders.

• Develop and implement change management strategies to support organizational transformation efforts.

• Conduct Change Impact Analysis and Change Readiness/Gap Assessments, providing actionable recommendations for both immediate and long-term needs.

• Build a strong change network, promote change adoption, manage stakeholders with a people-centric approach, and if needed, work towards mindset shifts to achieve cultural transformation.

• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change management initiatives and make necessary adjustments.

• Apply design thinking principles and methodologies to discover innovative solutions to complex business challenges.

• Conduct user research, gather insights, and define user personas and journeys.

• Advocate for design thinking principles and cultivate a culture of creativity and experimentation within client organizations.

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of consulting methodologies and frameworks.

• Mentor and coach junior consultants, providing guidance and support for their professional development.


⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field.

• Over 10 years of experience, including at least 7 years in management/business consulting.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Suite, particularly for creating engaging presentations and dashboards.

• Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), Change Management, or Design Thinking are highly desirable.

• In-depth understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and their practical applications in various contexts.

• Extensive knowledge of change management principles, models, and methodologies, with hands-on experience in leading change initiatives.

• Proficiency in design thinking frameworks and tools, effectively applying them to address complex business issues.

• Awareness and experience in leveraging technology as enablers.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.

• Experience in Big 4 professional services firms or other global management consultancies is highly desirable.

• An MBA or equivalent advanced education is preferable.

• Certification in Project Management, Organizational Change Management, Design Thinking, or Facilitation will be advantageous.
