This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Oversee the preparation of Monthly Financial Statements
• Direct the month-end closing process, including balance sheet reconciliations, reporting requirements, and variance analyses
• Examine bi-weekly payroll, journal entries, and generate monthly reconciliations
• Supervise the network’s month-end reporting process, ensuring adherence to Stagwell global deadlines and standards
• Aid in delivering timely management reports for CORE Stagwell Functional users
• Support treasury functions, including daily banking operations and cash forecasting
• Leverage ERP systems to monitor and manage key initiatives/projects for all CORE Stagwell functions
• Review and authorize monthly reconciliations of all Balance Sheet accounts and select P&L accounts
• Oversee the reconciliation of Intercompany transactions with other Stagwell subsidiaries
• Prepare and sustain Corporate allocations for all departments to guarantee accurate chargebacks and billings to Stagwell Brands
• Manage/review monthly closing entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP (e.g., Accruals, Cash and CC Reconciliations, Amortization/Depreciation)
• Oversee the accounting department's operations and collaborate with central AP, AR, and Billing Teams
• Ensure accounts receivable and payable are recorded with accurate coding and processed promptly
• Confirm that subledgers are reconciled on a monthly basis
• Assist with treasury functions, including daily banking and cash forecasting
• Contribute to the development of the annual budget and quarterly reforecasts
• Calculate budget variances and communicate significant issues to management
• Support the preparation of the monthly/quarterly Stagwell reporting package and assist Corporate as necessary
• Manage Internal/External Audits: prepare schedules as required, conduct audit research, and respond to inquiries
• Ensure SOX compliance by establishing and maintaining robust accounting controls and practices over financial reporting with guidance from the Corporate SOX Team
• Monitor and uphold accounting policies and procedures
• Assist with ad hoc requests as assigned
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
• CPA certification is required
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, with a preference for candidates with Public Accounting and experience in the advertising, media, or services industries
• At least 5 years of experience with Maconomy (or similar software) and proficiency in all Maconomy modules
• Background in service-oriented companies (preferably in media or advertising)
• Proven ability in operational enhancement and system optimization
• Strong creative problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced skills in Excel
• Capable of managing a team of 5+ and collaborating with Shared Services Teams (AR/AP/Billing/Corporate)
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and maintain composure under pressure
• Skillful in managing and mitigating risks while emphasizing growth
• Located in Latin America
