This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +2 more states.
• Manage a designated portfolio of loans independently, ensuring adherence to loan documents, Agency guidelines, servicing agreements, and internal policies.
• Assess and evaluate reserve draw requests, utilizing judgment to determine eligibility, identify exceptions, and recommend outcomes such as approval, denial, or escalation.
• Analyze reserve activities, property condition data, and repair progress to detect emerging risks and proactively suggest corrective measures.
• Oversee compliance with immediate repair requirements, deferred maintenance obligations, life-safety items, insurance-related repairs, and capital improvement plans.
• Coordinate and supervise Property Needs Assessments (PNAs), engineering reports, inspections, and other third-party evaluations to aid reserve management and risk mitigation.
• Interpret loan documentation, reserve agreements, inspection reports, and investor specifications to ensure proper application of servicing standards.
• Act as the primary contact for borrowers, property managers, consultants, attorneys, and vendors regarding reserve-related issues and compliance matters.
• Collaborate with Asset Managers and other servicing teams to assess property performance issues and propose suitable reserve-related solutions.
• Prepare portfolio analyses, exception reports, trend analyses, and management summaries to facilitate decision-making and risk oversight.
• Assist with investor, Agency, and audit inquiries through research, analysis, and the review of documentation.
• Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, controls, reporting, and reserve management practices; take part in implementing process improvements and workflow enhancements.
• Contribute to the training of team members and foster uniform application of reserve policies and procedures across the Asset Performance function.
• Provide support on ad-hoc or team projects as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Over 3 years of experience in commercial real estate servicing, asset management, reserve administration, construction review, property operations, or a related field is ideal.
• Experience in reviewing and interpreting loan documents, reserve requirements, and investor guidelines is essential.
• Familiarity with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, or other commercial real estate servicing programs is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Capability to evaluate risk, identify issues, and recommend suitable resolutions.
• Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to independently manage a portfolio of responsibilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, allowing effective interaction with borrowers, consultants, attorneys, investors, and internal stakeholders.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with servicing, workflow, and reporting systems.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
• Willingness to travel occasionally as business needs arise.
