Assessor – Pre-Inspector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Perform inspections of trees along power lines and identify possible hazards.

• Liaise with various stakeholders regarding the scope of work.

• Create and execute strategies for vegetation management surrounding power lines.

• Collaborate effectively with team members to maintain the safety and reliability of the power grid.

• Maintain detailed records of inspections and maintenance activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a valid Driver License with a clean driving record.

• Completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check is mandatory.

• Capability to identify local tree species, assess defects or diseases, and evaluate growth rates.

• Knowledge of utility infrastructure.

• Ability to read and interpret maps.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Keen attention to data requirements and technical details.

• Proficiency in using electronic devices and systems, including mobile devices, GIS software, and MS Excel/Word.

• Capacity to work in challenging terrain and adverse weather conditions.

• ISA Certified Arborist status is preferred.

• Previous experience in vegetation management and tree inspections is preferred.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills are preferred.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting is preferred.
