Art Director, Motion Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conceptualize and produce motion, animation, and video content that vividly illustrates our product and brand narrative.

• Take full ownership of the creative process: from storyboarding and style frames to animatics, animation, and final refinements, primarily utilizing After Effects.

• Provide art direction across various projects, not limited to video shoots and productions.

• Contribute innovative ideas for the creative team’s initiatives.

• Establish and maintain visual and motion standards throughout the team.

• Coach and guide fellow designers, dedicating approximately 25% of your time to mentorship.

• Develop creative concepts and ideation.

• Collaborate across departments with product marketing, brand, and product teams.

• Maintain a balance between speed and quality in deliverables.

• Assess and manage external partners as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of professional experience in motion design and animation, encompassing senior or lead roles.

• Demonstrated experience in art direction, whether through a formal art director position or a background in film/production.

• Proficient in After Effects with a strong overall command of the Adobe Creative Suite (including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator).

• Experience with 3D software (such as Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar) is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with or a strong interest in product marketing.

• A diverse portfolio that showcases a range of skills.

• Experience in managing or mentoring other designers.

• Comfortable taking on both visionary and execution roles.

• Willingness to travel occasionally for shoots and productions.
