This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Develop and implement the architecture governance framework, which includes ADRs, review forums, and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure that architectural decisions are coherent, traceable, and aligned with the overall business strategy.
• Create, document, and uphold development standards, patterns, conventions, approved frameworks, version control, and repository structures.
• Set guidelines for the design and deployment of hybrid solutions that integrate AWS and on-premise IBM CP4BA.
• Establish integration patterns, deployment strategies, and criteria for assessing cloud versus on-premise workloads.
• Lead or assist in proofs of concept for new technologies and significant architectural decisions.
• Define security principles and controls for architecture, including secrets management, network segmentation, zero-trust models, and container hardening.
• Align architectural practices with Information Security standards.
• Develop AWS infrastructure design guidelines that encompass VPCs, subnets, IAM, and perimeter security.
• Create patterns for third-party connectivity, considering factors such as latency, availability, and regulatory compliance.
• Act as the technical authority for IBM BAW, ODM, and FileNet/CMIS.
• Ensure uniform implementation guidelines, RuleApps versioning, CMMN case orchestration, and document management across various business domains.
• Collaborate closely with technical leaders to share knowledge and evaluate designs.
• Identify opportunities for component reuse and promote the practical application of guidelines.
• Advocate for ongoing reduction of technical debt.
• Present architectural concepts to both technical teams and C-suite executives.
• Foster lasting capabilities within internal teams and create clear, maintainable, and actionable documentation.
• Over 10 years of experience in solution or enterprise architecture.
• Familiarity with the AWS Well-Architected Framework, VPC, IAM, ECS/Fargate, API Gateway, and EventBridge.
• Experience with IBM CP4BA: BAW, ODM, and FileNet; proven experience is desirable.
• Background in microservices, Java, and Spring Boot.
• Knowledge of integration patterns, including REST APIs, events, and messaging systems.
• Understanding of architectural governance frameworks such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, or equivalent methodologies.
• Experience in hybrid environments: on-premise and public cloud within regulated sectors.
• Knowledge of security principles: OWASP, zero-trust, encryption, IAM, and network segmentation.
• Desirable experience in the financial or insurance sector in Mexico or LATAM.
• Ability to communicate architectural concepts effectively to technical audiences and high-level executives (C-suite).
• Focus on establishing capabilities within internal teams.
• Proficiency in working with multiple technical leaders and building trust.
