This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota, +3 more states.
• Achieve or surpass yearly sales targets, oversee distribution territory, and enhance overall customer experience.
• Stay informed on industry trends, potential revenue avenues, sales channels, outcomes-based solutions, and competitor offerings.
• Develop a long-term growth strategy and account pipeline in collaboration with distribution leadership, while managing the execution of the plan.
• Conduct annual outreach to existing customers and identify revenue opportunities to grow the business.
• Engage actively in direct and distributor sales initiatives.
• Maintain relationships with assigned customers.
• Offer portfolio support by applying knowledge of products, software, and services.
• Manage channel operations and coordinate distributor performance evaluations.
• Qualify pre-sales opportunities and position the portfolio with value selling and outcomes-based solutions to drive new revenue prospects.
• Oversee Customer Relationship Management (CRM) with regular account updates.
• Facilitate and coordinate conflict resolution.
• Participate in contract negotiations.
• Attend industry events and trade shows.
• Foster good communication and effective working relationships with channel partners and other departments.
• Provide recommendations for portfolio development, placement, and promotions as appropriate.
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned or needed.
• Uphold and support the Company’s core values.
• Adhere to the Company’s Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy.
• Represent the Company positively and professionally when interacting with both internal and external customers.
• A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• 5-7+ years of sales experience in the electrical industry is necessary.
• A valid driver's license and passport are required for domestic and international travel.
• A solid understanding of electric, gas, and water utilities, meters, IoT, communications, and AMI Smart Grid technologies is essential.
• Ability to organize, coordinate, and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
• Strong listening, oral/written communication, and presentation skills are a must.
• Solid analytical and technical skills are required.
• Strong knowledge of the company's products, software, and services is necessary.
• Comprehensive knowledge of channel development strategies is important.
• Thorough understanding of sales functions is needed.
• Ability to identify opportunities and potential issues and take proactive measures is essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary.
