This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Generate residential mortgage loans for Financial Center branches and external referrals
• Achieve personal mortgage loan sales targets and cross-selling goals
• Oversee residential mortgage loans from application to closing for individual production
• Supervise the overall output and daily functions of a team of Mortgage Loan Originators
• Collaborate with Fulfillment Operations to enhance closed loan volume
• Build and nurture relationships with real estate agents, builders, professional contacts, personal networks, and Financial Center staff
• Cultivate a sales-driven team environment
• Provide prompt, honest, and constructive feedback on performance
• Foster employee development, offer career advancement opportunities, and assist in succession planning
• Manage a minimum of 5 Mortgage Loan Originators
• Track personal and team production through reporting and KPIs
• Conduct business plan assessments and develop strategic and tactical plans for volume growth
• Participate in sales meetings alongside Mortgage Loan Originators
• Identify enhancements to systems and processes
• Oversee customer service, compliance, quality, meetings, and adherence to regulations
• Act as a liaison for loan-related issues with processing and underwriting managers
• Fulfill HR responsibilities including time tracking, performance evaluations, coaching, performance management, commission oversight, and training needs assessment
• Recruit, onboard, and train new loan officers
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Two/Four-year college degree is preferred
• 2-4 years of experience in residential mortgage sales is required
• Comprehensive understanding of conventional, government, and portfolio guidelines
• Prior management experience is preferred
• Familiarity with residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing processes
• Knowledge of federal lending regulations applicable to real estate lending
• Proven leadership, organizational, teamwork, and customer service abilities
• High integrity and capacity to lead by example
• Ability to evaluate policies, procedures, and guidelines while maintaining acceptable risk levels
• Advanced sales techniques and sales coaching skills
• Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal, and diplomatic skills
• Capacity to multitask and adapt to changing circumstances
• Proficiency in PC applications, including Windows-based Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience with mortgage origination systems and automated decision-making tools is essential
• Ability to inspire a team, work autonomously, manage various projects, perform under pressure, and adjust to sudden changes
• S.A.F.E. Act registration is required at the start of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)
