This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota, +1 more state.
• Establish a strong sales presence in the designated area.
• Acquire knowledge of the Advanced Energy product line and its uses.
• Follow up on leads utilizing a multi-faceted contact strategy.
• Meet sales objectives while applying the Medtronic Sales process.
• Open new accounts, sustain existing business, and enhance overall sales performance.
• Collaborate with marketing, engineering, clinical, and management teams to assist in product development and launches.
• Identify and prioritize significant new and existing accounts within the territory.
• Conduct competitive analysis and create account action plans.
• Review territory sales strategies and tactics; devise programs to boost market share.
• Establish new accounts with initial orders and achieve quarterly revenue goals.
• Provide ongoing forecasts, expense reports, business objectives, account plans, and sales insights.
• Coordinate educational in-services and technical symposiums for key accounts.
• Foster relationships with clinical and administrative staff in major accounts.
• Introduce Medtronic Advanced Energy executive management to significant accounts when suitable.
• Formulate joint team strategies with marketing, clinical, education, and management departments.
• Implement an Internet-based marketing strategy for demand generation and education.
• Conduct activities in accordance with Quality System and environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 6+ years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s Degree with 4+ years, or a Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years.
• Relevant sales, clinical, or related experience within medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Must reside within the assigned territory.
• Valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance policy required.
• Driving record will be subject to review.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization required at the time of hire and throughout employment; sponsorship is not available below Principal level.
• Ability to operate under healthcare universal precautions.
• Capable of serving as the primary resource for clinical events, which may include occasional weekends, evenings, nights, and overnight travel.
• Must work effectively and independently with minimal direction outside of clinical events.
• Ability to attend national meetings, district meetings, and training sessions.
• Must be able to wear a protective lead apron weighing 7–9 lbs. for extended durations.
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for over 8 hours each day.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, squat, and maintain balance.
• Specific vision capabilities required, including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Must be prepared to drive approximately 50% of the time within the assigned territory.
• For foreign baccalaureate degrees, a degree meeting the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is necessary.
