
Area Sales Director – West & Mountain US Region

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Recruit, cultivate, and guide a high-performing team of District Sales Managers while indirectly influencing and developing an Area (East or West) team of sales representatives.
• Inspire, direct, and motivate the team, ensuring they receive comprehensive training in product knowledge, market conditions, market access, brand strategy and tactics, corporate policies, and targeted business planning.
• Create and implement both short-term and long-term business strategies aimed at achieving commercial objectives and driving sales revenue with targeted accounts.
• Play a key role in shaping national sales strategies while guaranteeing relentless field execution to surpass revenue and market share targets.
• Monitor launch KPIs and business performance metrics, identifying opportunities and executing corrective actions to enhance velocity and market penetration.
• Set an example for a culture centered on performance and accountability, supported by data-driven tools and differentiated sales enablement strategies and tactics.
• Continuously manage and assess field performance, implementing corrective and developmental actions as necessary. Provide verbal and written guidance, coaching, follow-up, and development for field professionals throughout all phases of their work.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University.
• Over 10 years of management experience in the Biopharmaceutical industry, demonstrating the ability to develop and motivate others while achieving objectives.
• Experience as a 2nd line sales leader – with a proven track record of leading leaders.
• Proven capability to guide teams through organizational growth, change, and complexity related to launches.
• Preferred cross-functional experience in Sales Training, Market Access, Marketing, and Commercial Operations.
• Demonstrated success in highly competitive, evolving, or startup commercial environments.
• Ability to recruit, retain, and nurture a high-quality team.
• Experience in product launches and sales force development is preferred.
• Preferred background in allergy, respiratory, or immunology fields.
• Must consistently exhibit sound judgment and strategic decision-making skills.
• Strong interpersonal abilities and the capability to build business relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
• Results-driven with exceptional attention to detail and knowledge of metrics.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills in project planning, implementation, and cross-functional team management.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to meet overnight travel requirements – 50% time in the field; additional travel may be necessary.
