
Area Sales Director – Eastern & Central US

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• In the role of Area Sales Director, you will be an integral part of the Sales Leadership Team.
• Play a vital role in national launch strategies, organizational structuring, resource distribution, talent cultivation, and commercialization planning.
• Meet business targets by recruiting, nurturing, and leading a team of District Sales Managers (DSMs) and Therapeutic Specialty Representatives (TSRs).
• Attract, develop, and guide a high-achieving team of District Sales Managers while also influencing and developing an Area team of sales representatives indirectly.
• Create and execute both short-term and long-term business strategies aimed at achieving commercial goals and increasing sales revenue with designated accounts.
• Assist in shaping national sales strategies while ensuring relentless execution in the field to surpass revenue and market share objectives.
• Track launch KPIs and business performance indicators, identifying opportunities and implementing corrective measures to optimize velocity and market penetration.
• Continuously assess field performance and apply corrective or developmental actions as necessary.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
• Over 10 years of management experience in the Biopharmaceutical sector with a proven track record of developing and motivating others to meet objectives.
• Experience as a second-line sales leader with a demonstrated ability to guide other leaders.
• Proven capability to navigate teams through organizational growth, change, and complexities associated with launches.
• Preferred cross-functional experience in Sales Training, Market Access, Marketing, and Commercial Operations.
• Demonstrated success in competitive, evolving, or startup commercial environments.
• Ability to attract, retain, and develop a high-caliber team.
• Preferred experience with product launches and sales force expansion.
• Experience in allergy, respiratory, or immunology fields is preferred.
• Must consistently exhibit sound judgment and strategic decision-making skills.
• Strong interpersonal abilities and capacity to cultivate business relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
• Results-oriented with exceptional attention to detail and understanding of metrics.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills in project planning, implementation, and cross-functional team management.
• A valid driver's license and the capability to meet overnight travel requirements – 50% of the time in the field; additional travel may be necessary.
