Area Nurse – Home Care, Short Contracts (4-12 weeks)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Create personalized care plans tailored to the individual needs, preferences, and objectives of patients, in partnership with the patient, their family, and the healthcare team.

• Deliver skilled nursing services to patients within their homes, which includes wound care, medication administration, IV therapy, catheter management, and disease control.

• Assess patients' vital signs, symptoms, and treatment responses, taking action as needed to address both acute and chronic health concerns.

• Examine wounds, change dressings, and assist with personal grooming and hygiene needs.

• Conduct tests for muscle weakness, pressure sores, and any indications of infection.

• Oversee patient recovery progress and prepare reports for the attending physician.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Nursing degree (or equivalent) along with current AHPRA registration.

• At least 2 years of experience in remote or rural healthcare environments.

• Capability to work independently outside of a hospital setting.

• Proven history of prior service in relevant fields.

• Specialized qualifications or training in a specific area of expertise.

• Valid national police certificate.

• An up-to-date Ochre Card.

• Current vaccinations.
