Area Manufacturing Manager – Turbines

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with team members to execute and finalize priorities for electrical power distribution, emphasizing reliability, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

• Support the implementation of technologies that drive significant process and reliability enhancements across all sectors.

• Oversee electrical design initiatives for capital projects, including the development of project scopes, application sizing, detailed designs, and functional specifications.

• Offer support during construction, commissioning, and startup phases.

• Contribute to the formulation of Standards, Specifications, and Best Practices.

• Provide technical assistance to the Mill for diagnosing electrical equipment failures related to electrical power distribution systems.

• Diagnose turbine operations, perform disassembly and inspection of turbines and associated components, and reassemble turbines ensuring correct setup and clearance dimensions.

• Supervise and guide mill and contract personnel.

• Oversee budgets and manage the inventory of spare parts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.

• At least five years of experience in the electrical sector, particularly supporting the pulp/paper industry.

• Excellent troubleshooting abilities—adherence to Safe Electrical Work Practices is essential.

• In-depth understanding of NFPA 70E and NEC standards.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CAD.

• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

• Willingness to travel over 75% of the time.
