Area Manager – Retail Mortgage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Recruit, onboard, and cultivate a team of mortgage loan officers within your assigned Texas market area.

• Mentor your team to achieve both individual and branch-level volume objectives.

• Establish and maintain referral relationships with real estate professionals, builders, financial advisors, and other partners in the purchase market.

• Supervise daily branch operations, ensuring pipeline integrity, compliance with regulations, and an outstanding borrower experience from application to closing.

• Collaborate with operations, processing, and underwriting teams to enhance loan velocity and address escalated file issues.

• Keep track of local market trends, competitor actions, and interest rate environments to ensure your team is well-prepared and informed.

• Present branch performance metrics to senior leadership and participate in strategic planning for market growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active NMLS certification.

• Proven experience in retail mortgage production.

• Previous leadership experience in the mortgage industry (minimum of 3 years).

• Extensive knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loan products, as well as jumbo and non-QM loans.

• Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain, and develop productive loan officers in a competitive landscape.

• Strong focus on the purchase market with an established referral network in Texas.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
