This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The **Area Manager** possesses a robust level of project management expertise, ensuring the successful execution of all projects within their designated geographic region.
• The **Area Manager** demonstrates a high degree of business acumen while engaging with clients and representing our brand with professionalism and multidisciplinary knowledge.
• The **Area Manager** will take the lead in cultivating business development opportunities for Waggoner Engineering.
• The **Area Manager** will identify, mentor, and nurture future leaders within the organization, setting them on a pathway to management roles.
• The **Area Manager** will maintain comprehensive knowledge of all operational phases within their geographic area, coordinating support across the business and providing regular performance updates to the senior leadership team.
• The **Area Manager** will develop and execute a strategic one-page plan to effectively track the KPIs of Waggoner and Trilon companies.
• The **Area Manager** will collaborate closely with Human Resources and the Senior Leadership team to establish and implement operational strategy, structure, processes, and achieve successful performance.
• The **Area Manager** will oversee and provide strategic direction regarding project budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation.
• The **Area Manager** will assist the Vice President with financial reporting duties and performance monitoring to identify efficiency challenges and preemptively propose solutions.
• The **Area Manager** will guide, direct, and assess the work of all Project Managers within their designated geographic area.
• The **Area Manager** will supervise the cash flow of their geographic area and collaborate with Project Accountants and Project Managers to ensure prompt client payments.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of ten years of substantial operational management experience in the consulting engineering sector.
• Proven track record in professional services business development and expansion.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial planning and analysis, with a background in overseeing projects and operational units.
• Proficient in organizational development, personnel management, budget and resource development, along with strategic project and operational planning.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a dynamic leadership team.
• Exhibit personal integrity, credibility, and a strong commitment to the corporate mission.
• Flexible and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment while striving for clarity and solutions; proven resourcefulness in prioritizing and directing investments in personnel and systems.
• Master's degree in business or a related field (Preferred).
• Certification as a professional engineer, professional geologist, or a PhD in another relevant professional field (Preferred).
