Area Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Deliver strong leadership and management to the Retail Service Merchandiser/Lead Merchandiser team in the designated geographic area by conducting interviews, hiring candidates, onboarding, and training new associates, overseeing performance and career development, managing conflicts and personnel matters, and offering coaching and support.

• Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the company’s business model, client and customer expectations, and the specific project work processes. Periodically work in the field to gain insights into project requirements. Provide backup support for project tasks as necessary.

• Oversee assigned project work to ensure completion on schedule and with high-quality results. Review project specifics to confirm that the schedule is accurate and attainable, and that all supporting documentation is up-to-date and correct. Delegate project tasks to Retail Service Merchandisers/Lead Merchandisers and ensure adequate support for all assignments. Monitor progress and audit project work. Address questions, resolve issues, manage personnel concerns, and adjust resources as necessary. Ensure the delivery of all materials, supplies, and equipment needed for assigned project activities.

• Collaborate with store personnel and the team to achieve and uphold merchandising excellence, discuss schedules and modifications, meet goals and expectations, and foster an effective working relationship. Be proactive in notifying management of any unsafe actions or conditions to avert injuries.

• Report and discuss observations, challenges, and business solutions with the Market Manager.

• Efficiently and accurately utilize web-based applications to receive notifications of project work, review work documentation and information, maintain Retail Service Merchandiser/Lead Merchandiser profiles, assign project tasks, monitor progress and status, document and manage work mileage, expenses, work time, and attendance, and complete and oversee training activities. Fully utilize and comprehend the company’s retail reports and reporting systems.

• Accurately prepare, process, submit, and manage documentation related to assigned project work and the Retail Service Merchandiser/Lead Merchandiser team.

• Other duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent in the relevant industry is required.

• Minimum of 2 years of management and/or supervisory experience.

• Previous experience as a sales agent, in retail, customer service, or resets is preferred.

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, decision-making, and leadership skills are essential.

• Ability to read and communicate effectively with others.

• Proficient in working with web-based applications, email, word processing, and spreadsheet software.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.

• Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive for extended periods.
