Area Director I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Create an annual personal development plan that nurtures a vibrant spiritual life.

• Guide teams and individuals in their spiritual growth.

• Ensure that all Young Life ministry activities in the region are conducted with a reliance on prayer.

• Collaborate with the Regional Director and Committee to articulate a vision for reaching “every kid”.

• Recruit and train new staff and leaders to establish strong leadership teams.

• Oversee, develop, and assess area staff performance.

• Provide quality summer staff, work crew members, and adult guests for summer camps.

• Comply with all Young Life policies and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant ministry experience required.

• Proven ability to build and lead effective teams.

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities.

• Strong relational skills with both youth and adults.

• A calling to reach children with the Gospel.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capacity to maintain confidentiality.

• Must complete Core Training - Phase One within 36 months of the hiring date.

• A college degree is preferred.
