This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Supervise, mentor, train, and assess Crop Insurance Adjusters throughout Ohio, which includes conducting performance evaluations, succession planning, and providing daily field support.
• Manage the claims process to guarantee accuracy, promptness, and adherence to ProAg protocols, as well as federal and state regulations and RMA standards.
• Allocate claims, review and authorize work, assist with reserve determinations, and act as the primary escalation point for intricate, sensitive, or contested claims.
• Collaborate with Claims Management, Compliance, and Underwriting to achieve business goals, troubleshoot field issues, and address regulatory or operational challenges.
• Track Loss Adjuster Expenses (LAE), oversee staffing and workload distribution, and modify claims structure to adapt to evolving market or regional demands.
• Serve as a principal contact for agent inquiries and concerns, ensuring timely communication and effective resolution of issues.
• Create and conduct training for adjusters, advocate for best practices, and facilitate the effective utilization of claims systems and internal resources.
• Exemplify ProAg’s core values, maintain transparent and consistent communication, and demonstrate professionalism in all internal and external engagements.
• A bachelor's degree in agriculture, a related field, or equivalent education and/or experience is preferred.
• Current Claim Adjuster Proficiency Program (CAPP) certification is required.
• At least three years of relevant and progressive experience in crop insurance within Claims or Compliance.
• Comprehensive knowledge of adjusting practices, standards, procedures, and the appropriate use of required adjusting equipment.
• Outstanding organizational and analytical abilities with the capacity to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
