This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Oversee, mentor, train, and assess Crop Insurance Adjusters throughout Ohio.
• Conduct performance evaluations and succession planning initiatives.
• Provide daily field assistance.
• Supervise claims processing to ensure precision, promptness, and adherence to company policies, federal and state laws, and RMA guidelines.
• Assign claims, review and approve tasks, assist with reserve determinations, and escalate intricate, sensitive, or contested claims.
• Collaborate with Claims Management, Compliance, and Underwriting to achieve business goals and address field-related issues.
• Monitor Loss Adjuster Expenses (LAE).
• Manage staffing and workload allocation, adjusting claims structure to meet evolving market or territory demands.
• Respond to agent inquiries and concerns.
• Create and deliver training for adjusters while promoting best practices.
• Facilitate the effective use of claims systems and internal tools.
• Uphold clear communication, professionalism, and the core values of ProAg.
• A bachelor’s degree in agriculture, a related discipline, or equivalent education and/or experience is preferred.
• Current Claim Adjuster Proficiency Program (CAPP) certification is necessary.
• At least three years of relevant and progressive experience in crop insurance within Claims or Compliance.
• Comprehensive understanding of adjusting practices, standards, procedures, and appropriate use of essential adjusting equipment.
• Outstanding organizational and analytical abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Frequent travel is required.
