This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Gather and evaluate financial data to create journal entries and document business transactions.
• Generate monthly and quarterly reports on operational performance.
• Assist the Area Controller in maintaining internal controls, adhering to company policies, ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and meeting statutory obligations.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and statistical data, and assess financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
• Support the management of accounting staff.
• Provide guidance to accounting functional areas, which include invoice processing, billing, cash receipts, work order processing, credit analysis, receivable collections, month-end closing, journal entries, statistical data, and payroll.
• Facilitate the annual budgeting and interim forecasting process, and assist with analytical reviews.
• Assist with the accounting components of capital expenditures, transfers, and retirements.
• Support internal audits, external audits, and peer evaluations.
• Address information requests from corporate departments and regional and area field financial management.
• Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.
• Experience in accounting.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel.
• Proactive approach to researching and following up on non-standard situations to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Effective and professional communication skills across various organizational levels, as well as with external customers and vendors.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to complete projects and assignments with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Capability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and efficiently within a team setting.
• Familiarity with general ledger software and other industry-standard applications.
• Experience with Oracle accounting software and other industry-standard programs.
