Architectural Surveyor, Entry Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Utilizing LIDAR scanning technology and reality capture survey tools (such as the Leica scanner) to collect precise visual and dimensional data of existing buildings.

• Registering laser scan point clouds and producing accurate existing condition drawings in REVIT.

• Documenting essential building systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing.

• Creating comprehensive reports, photo documentation, and performing quality checks on drawings.

• Assisting both field and office teams in identifying optimal methods for capturing site data.

• Adhering to safety protocols to safeguard yourself, the team, and client properties.

• Willingness to travel 60-80% nationally, with the capability to lift extension ladders and manage administrative tasks such as timesheets and expense reports.

• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree (or in progress) in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

• Internship, coursework, or up to 2 years of experience in creating building drawings and construction layouts using AutoCAD and Revit.

• A keen interest in technologies such as 3D scanning, BIM, or drones (experience is advantageous but not mandatory).

• Familiarity with point cloud data and workflow utilizing Recap or Cyclone software.

• Understanding of commercial building design standards, construction methods, details, and materials.

• Knowledge of ADA standards is preferred.

• Possession of FAA Part 107 License is preferred.

• Proficiency in using computers, scanners, photogrammetry, mobile technology, Microsoft Office applications, video conferencing, and cloud storage systems.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

• Highly independent with a strong attention to detail; ability to work under tight deadlines is required.

• Experience providing professional customer service interactions.

• A valid driver’s license and insurance (or insurable if renting a vehicle), with the ability to rent a car.
