This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and documentation of high-end custom residential projects, transforming client objectives into precise architectural guidance with a strong emphasis on planning, character, and sophisticated composition.

• Create and manage Revit models and plan sets from schematic design through to permit-ready documentation, generating coordinated drawings (including plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and notes) that are clear, precise, and highly constructible.

• Act as a primary contact for client and consultant collaboration, steering design decisions, incorporating technical insights, and ensuring alignment on scope, schedule, quality, and design intent across both internal and external teams.

• Conduct research on codes and zoning, integrating permitting requirements early on, while coordinating with planning departments and jurisdictions to facilitate approvals and efficiently address comments.

• Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Construction teams to ensure project expectations are met and that documentation effectively supports practical execution and quality outcomes.

• Enhance workflows, templates, and drafting standards to minimize rework, improve clarity, and foster a culture of ongoing improvement and design excellence.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in advanced Revit for intricate residential modeling and documentation.

• Strong design judgment with meticulous attention to detail, suitable for luxury projects.

• Exceptional communication and client presentation skills.

• Proactive problem-solver with robust organizational abilities.

• Collaborative team-oriented leader capable of delegating tasks and driving results.

• Skilled in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.

• In-depth understanding of construction methods, assemblies, and best practices in documentation.

• Preferred experience in detailing high-end residential projects, integrating premium materials, and coordinating with consultants.

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Architecture, Building Design, Construction Science, or a related field.

• 8–10+ years of professional experience in architectural design and documentation.
