This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.
• Develop intricate, realistic tasks rooted in professional architectural workflows.
• Create assignments that include building design, architectural drawings, plans, diagrams, and associated visual materials.
• Establish clear and objectively verifiable expected outcomes.
• Design challenges that reflect authentic professional scenarios.
• Formulate tasks that necessitate the analysis of architectural drawings and visual documentation.
• Interpret plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and related materials for building design.
• Identify pertinent spatial, dimensional, structural, and functional data.
• Generate questions that require reasoning across various visual sources.
• Apply principles of architectural design and organizational structures of buildings.
• Create tasks that address spatial relationships, circulation, program, layout, and design intent.
• Incorporate realistic constraints and architectural decision-making processes.
• Assess proposed outputs against established drawings and specifications.
• Produce authoritative reference answers and establish a ground truth.
• Confirm that expected outputs are accurate, comprehensive, and reproducible.
• Document reasoning and evidence that support reference answers.
• Resolve ambiguities prior to final evaluations.
• Compose objective rubrics that define successful responses.
• Pinpoint critical elements in correct solutions.
• Differentiate between significant architectural errors and minor presentation discrepancies.
• Refine tasks and rubrics to enhance clarity, difficulty, and reliability in evaluations.
• Ensure consistent standards across the dataset.
• Professional experience in Architecture, Architectural Design, Building Design, or a closely related field.
• Strong capability to interpret architectural drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and technical documentation.
• Practical understanding of building design and professional architectural workflows.
• Exceptional visual reasoning skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to craft challenging, well-defined technical problems with objective solutions.
• Outstanding written communication skills and the capacity to articulate architectural reasoning clearly.
• Comfortable working independently within established research guidelines.
• Experience in developing technical assessments, educational materials, evaluation criteria, or similar structured content is a plus.
• Must be located in the United States or Canada.
• Required to work without using confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, institution, or third party.
• H1-B and STEM OPT support is not available for this position.
• Part-time independent contractor position.
• Fully remote work opportunity within the United States or Canada.
• Anticipated commitment of approximately 15–20 hours per week.
• Flexible scheduling based on project requirements.
• Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded depending on project needs and performance.
