This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the delivery pipeline of software engineering solutions across a diverse portfolio.

• Collaborate with different teams, including business, sales, and marketing, to establish requirements, interfaces, implementation strategies, and scalable, reusable solutions.

• Promote technical excellence and the application of best engineering practices, such as design reviews, continuous integration, and test-driven development.

• Act as a hands-on problem solver, leading initiatives to explore and implement new technology platforms.

• Ensure the adoption of top-tier quality assurance techniques to deliver high-quality software solutions.

• Attract and retain a diverse and highly skilled engineering workforce, optimizing resource utilization to enhance productivity.

• Prepare and deliver technology delivery presentations to both senior technical and non-technical audiences.

• Assist pre-sales and solutions teams in efforts to secure new business opportunities.

• Collaborate within a mutually interdependent structure that spans business, technology, and other functions, helping to remove obstacles and resolve issues.

• Work closely with the client engagement partner to strengthen client relationships.

• Effectively manage daily operations and maintain client communication.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, including military service.

• Over 10 years of total IT experience.

• At least 4 years in an Architect role.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience with multiple partner clouds, such as Amazon Web Services, Azure, Rackspace, OpenStack, and Oracle Cloud.

• Proven expertise and leadership in collaborating with business units, product management, development, and operations teams to design innovative solutions.

• Practical experience in web development using languages like Python, Go, C#, or JavaScript (Node, Angular).

• Experience with back-end development and open-source technologies, such as Jersey framework and Spring framework.

• Proficiency in relational databases, including Postgres, MySQL, and Oracle.

• Expertise in NoSQL database technologies like Couchbase, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, and Cassandra.

• Knowledge of message queue systems such as RabbitMQ and Redis.

• Hands-on experience with N-tier architecture (MVC, JEE) and ORM (Object Relational Mapping).

• Familiarity with Agile tools like JIRA and DevOps tools such as Gradle, Docker, and Git.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
