This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Direct the space planning and architectural design for governmental and institutional facilities.
• Create conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction drawings that align with NFPA 101 Life Safety Code and accessibility standards such as ADA.
• Collaborate with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and specialty consultants.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local building codes, accessibility requirements, and specific design criteria set by agencies.
• Perform space programming, circulation analysis, and occupant load planning.
• Utilize Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, and BIM coordination tools to generate plans, models, and visualizations.
• Employ RSMeans, Bluebeam, and BIM-based takeoff tools for cost estimation and value engineering.
• Assist in construction administration through reviewing submittals, handling RFIs, conducting site observations, verifying code compliance, and providing design clarifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university.
• Over 8 years of design experience with commercial, industrial, and/or government facilities.
• Proficient in assessing building enclosures, including roofing and below-grade waterproofing.
• Experience in design, failure analysis, and Enclosure Commissioning activities.
