Arborist Trainee

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire.

📋 Description

• Manually clear vegetation from designated work areas

• Apply herbicides and pesticides as necessary

• Safely handle forestry machinery, including skidders, mowers, chainsaws, and ATVs

• Conduct utility line clearance tasks

• Execute pruning and tree removal procedures

• Acquire skills in felling, climbing, rigging, equipment operation, and vegetation management

• Engage in paid practical training on the job

• Work outdoors year-round in a ground operations and arborist trainee capacity

⛳️ Requirements

• No previous experience in the tree industry is required

• Must be available to work 45 hours per week

• Minimum age requirement of 18 years

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification

• Possess a current and valid driver’s license along with reliable transportation

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Must be physically capable of walking on uneven terrain and lifting 75 lbs.

• Willingness to work at different heights

• Eagerness to learn bucket truck operation and equipment safety protocols

• Commitment to obtaining a CDL A or B license

• Willingness to acquire and maintain necessary licenses and certifications

• Successful completion of a post-offer physical examination and drug screening

• Successful completion of background checks and motor vehicle records checks

• Capability to perform physical labor and prioritize safety
