Arabic Language Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Spearhead language quality projects for Arabic by conducting localization reviews, UX testing, and pinpointing linguistic, functional, and cultural inconsistencies to guarantee an excellent local product experience.

• Implement and enhance LLM prompts and AI workflows to promote language quality, terminology uniformity, and efficiency across Arabic content. Document and disseminate prompt insights among the team. Systematically evaluate AI output quality and report any issues.

• Link localization results to content performance and SEO indicators in the Arabic market, transforming user feedback and market data into quantifiable enhancements in acquisition, conversion, and engagement.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, Content System, Engineering, Marketing, and SEO teams to influence early decisions, ensuring Arabic users receive a fully localized experience (not merely translated strings), which includes RTL behavior, cultural relevance, dialect/MSA tone considerations, and content readiness.

• Oversee Arabic localization projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results. Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders and external vendors to align objectives, timelines, and quality standards.

• Advocate for Arabic-speaking users by researching, collecting, and synthesizing customer feedback. Provide insights on UI, UX, content, and design to improve the local user experience.

• Collaborate with the team to evaluate language service providers and freelancers, offering feedback, training, and performance management to maintain high-quality standards.

• Manage Arabic translation assets (style guide, glossary, translation memory) and ensure they adapt alongside the product and market evolution.

• Engage cross-functional teams with insights regarding Arabic market potential; identify opportunities, threats, and competitor activities by segment/country within the region to guide strategic decisions.

• Ensure all localized content complies with global brand guidelines while preserving a unique Arabic brand voice that resonates with the local market and boosts engagement and conversion.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native fluency in Arabic and proficient in business English.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in translation, linguistics, content marketing, communications, or a related field.

• Proven experience in Arabic translation, localization, or language quality assurance, with a successful track record of leading projects from initiation to completion.

• Experience in conducting localization reviews, testing, and managing language quality initiatives for Arabic-speaking markets.

• Practical experience utilizing AI/LLM tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, MT engines) in localization workflows, including prompt design, AI output quality assurance, and post-editing. Comfortable iterating on prompts and AI-assisted review processes.

• Proficient in Translation Management Systems (TMS) and Content Management Systems (CMS).

• Experience in creative translation and transcreation, with the capability to adapt content to fit Arabic cultural contexts (including dialect/MSA decisions, gender, formality, religious, and cultural sensitivity).

• Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams including product, design, content, engineering, marketing, and external vendors.

• Ability to conduct market research, gather customer feedback, and offer insights on UI/UX design to enhance the local user experience.

• Experience in assessing and managing language service providers, including feedback, training, and performance oversight.
