Arabic – English OPI/VRI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which you are interpreting, particularly healthcare and medical contexts.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, without adding, omitting, or altering content.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service while interpreting.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretation of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Demonstrate a willingness to pursue new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and report to your team leader.

• Follow dress code guidelines for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language 'Arabic.'

• At least 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is advantageous.

• Possession of international certifications within the healthcare sector is a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and the ability to tolerate diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
