This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct research on the actual cash value of vehicles by collecting and evaluating current market data to achieve a fair settlement for damages resulting from theft and collision, while ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining positive relationships with shops.
• Verify title status, investigate any modifications, prior damages, and overall condition. Recognize anomalies such as vehicles with salvage titles, grey market vehicles, custom/modified vehicles, and previous damages to accurately assess their market value.
• Examine DMV reports and determine the appropriate transfer of ownership documents to dispatch to the registered owner, while securing lienholder payoff amounts and Letters of Guarantee.
• Negotiate storage fees with body shops and towing companies.
• Respond promptly and efficiently to written communications. Direct correspondence to Claims Document Processing to procure necessary paperwork when required.
• Remain informed about current vehicle valuations, industry and market trends, State licensing, and Company policies and procedures.
• Reach out to adjusters to verify coverage, identify potential limits issues or possible fraudulent activities, and secure approval for property damage settlements.
• Initiate contact with insured parties/claimants or their representatives concerning total loss situations.
• Complete and uphold thorough documentation of material damage details for assigned cases and timely submit relevant reports.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must obtain a Company-sponsored Adjuster’s license to manage claims, which includes a fingerprint background check, to be completed upon hire.
• Experience in handling Total Loss claims or customer service.
• Preferred: 6+ months of related experience.
• Preferred: Experience in managing high call volumes within a professional call center environment.
• Solid understanding of fundamental principles and practices of Company policies and procedures following formal and informal Claims Training.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, prioritize duties, and produce accurate work outputs to facilitate claims resolution.
• Strong passion for assisting customers during their times of need.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to professionally represent the Company in multi-channel communications with both internal and external clients.
• Capability to foster engagement to maintain high morale and support employee retention.
