Appraisal Inspector, Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Support on-site property evaluations and conduct the final review of appraisal reports.

• Focus primarily on the requirements for inspections.

• Conduct the final assessment of client deliverables for inspected properties to ensure compliance with USPAP standards.

• Validate the descriptions of the subject property site, physical improvements, and the surrounding area as noted during inspections.

• Create necessary exhibits and memos that illustrate the inspections conducted.

• Travel frequently to on-site locations based on assigned job requests.

• Oversee travel arrangements and manage related expense reports.

• Engage in internal and external client meetings as necessary.

• Establish relationships with market and business line leaders to share best practices, foster innovation, and uphold quality and consistency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a permanent resident of Iowa, ideally within the Des Moines metropolitan area.

• Possess an active and issued Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license in at least one state; candidates without a CG license will not be considered.

• Willingness to obtain licensure in multiple states.

• A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

• MAI designation or candidacy is preferred.

• Strategic understanding of commercial real estate appraisal is essential.

• Must have an active driver's license and the ability to travel easily between states.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent time/calendar management skills are highly desired.

• Previous experience and proficiency in Microsoft products, particularly Outlook and Teams, is required.

• Must be capable of reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

• Must be prepared for frequent travel of over 50% per month.

• Must be able to communicate effectively in person, via telephone, and through email.

• Visual acuity sufficient to read printed materials and computer screens is necessary.
