Appraisal Inspector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Support on-site property evaluations and conduct final assessments of appraisal reports.

• Focus mainly on inspection requirements, necessitating travel of over 50% each month.

• Conduct final checks of client deliverables for inspected projects to ensure compliance with USPAP.

• Confirm descriptions of the property site, physical improvements, and surrounding areas noted during inspections.

• Supervise the preparation of necessary exhibits and memos that illustrate inspection findings.

• Regularly travel to on-site properties based on assigned work requests.

• Manage travel logistics and associated expense reports.

• Engage in internal and external client meetings as required.

• Foster relationships with market and business line leaders to share best practices, drive innovation, and maintain quality and consistency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must permanently live in or within commuting distance of the Nashville, TN metro area.

• Hold an active Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license in at least one state, with a readiness to obtain licenses in multiple states.

• Active Certified General Appraiser License is mandatory; applicants lacking a CG license will not be considered.

• A bachelor's degree is required, ideally in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

• Strategic understanding of commercial real estate appraisal is essential.

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel easily between states are necessary.

• Must accommodate frequent travel of over 50% each month.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent time/calendar management skills are desired.

• Previous experience with Microsoft products, particularly Outlook and Teams, is required.

• Must possess the ability to communicate clearly in person, by phone, and via email.

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

• Must be capable of driving to asset tours; air travel may also be required.

• Adequate visual acuity to perform job responsibilities, including reading printed and computer-screen information.
