Appraisal Inspector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.

📋 Description

• Support on-site property inspections.

• Conduct a thorough analysis of appraisal reports and client deliverables to ensure compliance with USPAP standards.

• Verify that descriptions of the subject property's site, physical improvements, and surrounding areas are precise based on inspection insights.

• Supervise the creation of necessary exhibits and memos that illustrate inspection findings.

• Travel regularly to on-site properties according to assigned work requests, with travel exceeding 50% each month.

• Organize travel arrangements and manage related expense reports.

• Engage in internal and external client meetings as required.

• Foster relationships with market and business line leaders to share best practices, drive innovation, and maintain quality and consistency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside permanently in or within commuting distance of the Omaha, NE metro area.

• Possess an active Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license in at least one state, with a willingness to obtain licensure in multiple states.

• A certified general real estate license is mandatory; applicants lacking a CG license will not be considered.

• MAI designation or candidacy is preferred.

• A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (though not mandatory).

• Possess a strategic understanding of commercial real estate appraisal.

• Hold a valid driver's license and be able to travel easily between states.

• Strong attention to detail and exceptional time/calendar management skills are highly desired.

• Prior experience and proficiency with Microsoft products, particularly Outlook and Teams.

• Ability to drive to asset tours; airline travel may also be required.

• Capable of clear communication in person, over the phone, and via email.

• Visual acuity sufficient for job functions, including reading information from printed materials and computer screens.

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
