Appraisal Inspector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Support on-site property evaluations and conduct the final assessment of appraisal reports.

• Primarily concentrate on inspection requirements, with over 50% travel each month.

• Execute the final review of client deliverables for inspected projects to ensure compliance with USPAP.

• Confirm descriptions of the subject property's site and physical enhancements, along with details of the surrounding area noted during inspections.

• Supervise the creation of necessary exhibits and memos that illustrate inspections.

• Frequently travel to on-site properties based on assigned work requests.

• Organize travel arrangements and manage related expense reports.

• Engage in internal and external client meetings as needed.

• Cultivate relationships with market and business line leaders to share best practices, foster innovation, and guarantee quality and consistency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must permanently reside in the state of Minnesota, preferably near the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area.

• Hold an issued and active Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license in at least one state, with a willingness to obtain licenses in additional states.

• Possess an active Certified General Appraiser License; applicants without a CG license will not be considered.

• A bachelor's degree is preferred (but not mandatory) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

• Have a strategic understanding of commercial real estate appraisal.

• Hold a valid driver's license and the ability to travel easily between states.

• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent time/calendar management skills.

• Previous experience and proficiency with Microsoft products, particularly Outlook and Teams, are necessary.

• Ability to drive to asset tours; airline travel may also be required.

• Capable of clear communication in person, over the phone, and via email.

• Visual acuity sufficient to perform job duties, including reading printed materials and computer screens.

• Must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
