Applied Machine Learning Developer, Intermediate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement production-level machine learning systems that can manage complex, real-world data streams.

• Convert ambiguous challenges into dependable, scalable solutions while actively participating in technical decisions throughout the ML stack.

• Comfortable navigating uncertain environments and transforming product requirements into clear, comprehensive technical solutions with minimal oversight.

⛳️ Requirements

• Around 4 years of experience in applied machine learning, data engineering, or ML backend systems.

• Strong expertise in Python and experience in deploying systems to production (beyond research or prototyping).

• Experience in at least one of the following areas: Natural Language Processing (NLP), Information Extraction, Search or Retrieval systems, or Data pipeline development.

• Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of technical solutions; adept at navigating ambiguous challenges and producing concrete results.

• Familiarity with backend systems and API design; experience in cross-functional collaboration with product and engineering teams.
