Applied AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the CEO and various teams throughout the organization to identify the most impactful work.

• This position is responsible for managing cross-functional investments that no single team prioritizes, and for creating solutions for teams that lack the capacity to build independently.

• A significant portion of this role involves engaging with individuals performing the tasks, including engineers, to gain a deep understanding of how their time is allocated.

• From this understanding, you will define the scope, develop, secure, implement, and maintain the projects.

• You will take ownership of the applications built on this foundation, collaborating with the Security team from the design phase onward.

⛳️ Requirements

• Three to five years of experience in shipping and operating production services.

• Experience with LLM and agent tooling that is currently in use.

• Instincts to prioritize purchasing while also possessing the skills to build when necessary.

• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders in Legal, Finance, or Marketing to uncover their actual workflows and deliver solutions they utilize weekly.

• Good judgment to identify teams that are struggling and the discretion to refrain from imposing tools on those who have not requested them.

• An inherent focus on security during the design phase, treating constraints as parameters of the design process.

• A mindset that aligns with operational thinking.

• Capability for self-directed prioritization.

• A sense of operational ownership.
