This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Estonia.
• Take full ownership of internal tools from inception to completion, including problem understanding, design, implementation, deployment, and ongoing iteration.
• Develop across the entire stack as needed by the product: creating Python/Go services on Cloud Run, TypeScript web applications, internal admin tools, event-driven integrations on Pub/Sub, and managing cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Seamlessly integrate with third-party SaaS platforms and cloud APIs, addressing REST, webhooks, OAuth, and event-driven patterns, including managing failures, retries, and schema changes.
• Design and sustain workflow automation and business process orchestration as identifiable, observable flows rather than embedding logic within vendor scripts.
• Effectively utilize AI tools throughout the development lifecycle—specifying, coding, and reviewing—while directing Claude as a coding partner and taking responsibility for the final output.
• Examine AI-generated code prior to deployment to ensure correctness, security, and type safety.
• Manage what you deploy: overseeing monitoring, reliability, costs, and failure scenarios in a production environment.
• Contribute to the development of shared engineering standards, playbooks, and internal tools.
• Generally 3-9 years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Proven track record in end-to-end product delivery: you have launched and managed production software for real users, delivering complete products from the initial brief to deployment, rather than merely individual features.
• Backend engineering expertise: skilled in Python or Go (or both); capable of owning a service from its design to deployment on Cloud Run.
• Frontend engineering proficiency: experienced in TypeScript / React; comfortable creating fully functional UI features, such as internal dashboards or admin tools.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure: you deploy and manage applications on GCP and understand IAM, secrets management, Cloud Run, and deployment pipelines.
• Experience with API and systems integration: you have successfully connected multiple third-party platforms in production—REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth flows, event-driven patterns—and are adept at handling failures, retries, and schema changes.
• Security fundamentals: no hardcoded credentials; you leverage secrets management tools (SOPS, Secret Manager, or similar); no PII is logged; maintain solid application security practices.
• Familiarity with AI in the development lifecycle: you actively use AI tools (such as Claude Code or equivalents) across the entire software development lifecycle, critically review AI-generated outputs for correctness, security, and type safety, and can guide AI in multi-step implementation tasks while taking ownership of the result.
