This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop and deploy LLM-driven features throughout the DerivativeEDGE platform.
• Collaborate with domain experts to convert intricate financial workflows into dependable AI functionalities.
• Create and execute agentic workflows that can reason, act, and recover through multi-step production processes.
• Take ownership of the data engineering layer that supports AI systems, encompassing pipelines, retrieval architectures, context design, and data quality assurance.
• Rapidly prototype, assess solutions, and identify when they are production-ready.
• Contribute to the technical strategy, evaluations, tooling, MLOps practices, and reusable engineering patterns of the AI Lab.
• Engage in projects involving NLP, model fine-tuning, synthetic data, or reinforcement learning as necessary.
• Work collaboratively with Engineering, Product teams, and domain experts.
• Report directly to the lead of the AI Lab.
• Proven experience in building applications with LLMs, including prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, agents, or inference pipelines.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and constructing data pipelines that support real workflows.
• Background in machine learning or data science, particularly in complex or data-constrained settings.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with popular AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, HuggingFace, and LangChain.
• Experience in MLOps or production-level AI, including transitioning models from notebooks to production environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• A strong desire to learn about and explore the financial derivatives sector.
• A practical approach to tools and programming languages.
• Experience in reinforcement learning or financial derivatives is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Must possess legal authorization to work in Canada or meet Canadian work visa sponsorship criteria.
