Applied AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Develop AI agents, workflows, tools, and automation solutions that address genuine customer, product, and operational challenges.

• Utilize LLMs, retrieval techniques, tool integration, evaluations, safety measures, and automation in practical financial processes.

• Design AI-enhanced experiences for onboarding, customer support, KYC, risk assessments, CRM, operational tasks, document management, and product intelligence.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to determine valuable projects, quickly build them, and enhance them in a live environment.

• Create designs that consider real-world constraints: accuracy, risk of hallucination, latency, cost, security, compliance, and user trust.

• Transform manual workflows into dependable AI-powered systems that can scale effectively.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical engineering skills are essential; this role requires more than just AI strategy or management experience.

• Proven experience in developing AI agents, LLM applications, RAG systems, automation workflows, copilots, or AI-driven tools.

• Strong programming skills in Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or a similar technology stack.

• Sound judgment regarding what processes should be automated and which should remain manual.

• Ability to deliver functional systems, assess quality, and enhance reliability over time.

• Experience in fintech, banking, support automation, risk management, KYC, fraud detection, CRM, or operations automation is highly desirable.
