This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +4 more countries.
• Collaborate with the European Sales Organization to promote business development, offer advanced technical support, and provide effective customer solutions that enhance and safeguard existing business.
• Assist in strategic customer initiatives and major tenders by conducting site assessments, technical audits, designing solutions, developing proposals, and delivering customer presentations.
• Perform wastewater treatment surveys, process evaluations, and operational audits to identify opportunities for optimization and deliver measurable value to customers.
• Design, implement, and facilitate technical training programs for customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Work in partnership with R&D, Global Product Management, and Application Teams to facilitate new product launches, validate technologies, and deploy innovations.
• Measure and articulate customer value through technical case studies, Value Advantage projects, sustainability assessments, and ROI calculations.
• Create, maintain, and continually enhance technical documentation, application tools, digital resources, and knowledge-sharing platforms.
• Aid in the implementation and optimization of digital monitoring and control solutions, utilizing data-driven insights to enhance wastewater treatment performance and operational efficiency.
• Serve as a recognized technical authority in industrial and municipal wastewater treatment, providing expertise on process optimization, regulatory considerations, and best practices.
• Travel throughout Europe (approximately 50-70%) to support customers, drive business development initiatives, and implement technology solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in industrial and/or municipal wastewater treatment technologies, including sludge treatment and dewatering technologies.
• Familiarity with the municipal tendering process.
• Ideally, experience collaborating with engineering firms and knowledge of regulations for EU and local authorities.
• Strong understanding of coagulants, flocculants, and process chemicals.
• Ability to effectively communicate value creation (both economic and environmental) to internal teams and customers.
• Excellent customer-facing communication skills.
• Capacity to work independently as well as part of cross-functional teams.
• Resilient, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are advantageous.
• Previous sales experience in the water treatment sector is preferred.
