Applications Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Assist the sales team by creating innovative solutions for warehouse automation and intralogistics that align with customer requirements.

• Design material flow diagrams, process flow charts, and system layouts utilizing AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software.

• Generate cost estimates for equipment and services.

• Craft technical proposals that outline system requirements and the scope of supply.

• Leverage expertise in distribution processes and automation technologies to formulate effective solutions for customers.

• Work collaboratively with sales and engineering teams.

• Uphold and embody the core values of SSI SCHAEFER.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred.

• Minimum of two years of experience in warehouse automation, material handling, or intralogistics.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar CAD software is required.

• Willingness to travel 10–20%, including occasional international travel and training in Europe.

• Must be capable of obtaining a passport if necessary.
