Applications Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Implement and provide support for INFICON semiconductor products, with a primary focus on FabGuard fault detection and classification (FDC) software.

• Assist with INFICON sensors as necessary.

• Collaborate with tool owners to identify tool, sensor, and wafer logistics data for tracking in FabGuard.

• Offer technical support to both internal and external clients.

• Deliver written and verbal feedback to customers regarding applications work, process troubleshooting, FDC development, and advanced analysis methodologies.

• Conduct onsite training sessions on INFICON products, including FabGuard FDC software, hardware operation, and basic troubleshooting techniques.

• Facilitate the installation of INFICON software and hardware as required.

• Travel to customer sites and other locations as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, or a related scientific discipline.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.

• In-depth knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and OEM equipment, including lithography, PVD, CVD, Etch, and CMP.

• Familiarity with Fault Detection and Classification (FDC), computer networking, factory automation, and/or FabGuard products is advantageous.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Flexibility and capability to cultivate strong relationships with internal teams and external clients.

• Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills for resolving complex issues.

• Highly organized with strong computer proficiency.

• Willingness to travel up to 30%, with potential for additional travel opportunities.
