• Deliver technical assistance and solutions to the sales team and clients throughout the pre-sale strategy, client implementation, and installation phases.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the intricate aspects of products and systems.
• Assess customer needs and demonstrate how company solutions can add value and support their organization.
• Collaborate with the supply chain and sales teams to verify costs, devise sales strategies, and ensure sales quotas are met.
• Draft proposals and technical responses for RFIs and RFPs.
• Understand specific client systems and equipment needs to identify additional sales opportunities for the sales team.
• Suggest modifications to standard products to accommodate individual customer needs, within practical company and economic constraints.
• Provide written and verbal quotes and conduct necessary follow-ups in line with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, company price lists, electronic quoting tools, and contractual discount schedules.
• May conduct cost analysis on product line items against published pricing to calculate gross margins for review and approval by Applications and Sales Managers.
• May coordinate customer delivery demands with the Production Department and configure technical solutions for customers to ensure successful integration.
• Proactively address and respond to client/sales inquiries regarding product functionality, usage, application questions, and suitable product recommendations in a timely manner.
• Assist customers in troubleshooting issues, manage complaints, and resolve problems promptly and professionally; may involve investigating and reporting on warranty claims and the return goods authorization (RGA) process.
• Collaborate and share technical expertise with sales staff, trainers, and product support teams.
• Provide insights on development, marketing materials, website enhancement, and other system tools to enhance productivity and boost sales of the Division’s products as needed.
• Offer consultations or demonstrations remotely from the office, potentially onsite at trade shows, or by visiting client sites for sales or service-related tasks.
• Create and maintain internal documentation and drawings.
• Organize product information into clear, concise technical documentation.
• Other job duties as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline, along with 5-8 years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and experience that equips the candidate to effectively perform the essential job functions.
• Previous experience in engineering (chemical engineering preferred), mechanical, design, and/or commercial industrial manufacturing sectors is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with ERP systems, ADP, Epicor, and/or D365 is beneficial.
• Knowledge of EPM tools (e.g., Hyperion, TM1, etc.) is preferred.
