Application Support Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Address production challenges impacting our operations with a prompt and proactive approach.

• Offer solutions to client-reported issues across multiple projects.

• Comprehend the application workflows and processes.

• Provide detailed steps for reproducing an issue for engineering teams when a bug is discovered.

• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) as necessary.

• Promote continuous improvement by identifying recurring problems and proposing solutions to mitigate or eliminate them.

• Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLA) for maintaining applications in a highly available setting.

• Must be a strong team player, capable of taking ownership in driving tickets to resolution.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in IT, Computer Science, or any Engineering field.

• Over 4 years of practical experience in Software/Application support roles.

• Proficient in SQL Queries, Tables, Joins, and related skills.

• Familiarity with debugging and supporting web applications using at least one popular web framework in Java or Python.

• Exceptional debugging capabilities and strong problem-solving skills.

• Experience with Version Control Systems such as Git and GitHub.

• Must possess experience in incident management and ticketing systems like JIRA.

• Willingness to participate in 24/7 rotational shifts.

• Excellent client-facing abilities along with strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Prior experience with cloud infrastructure like AWS is a plus.
