Application Specialist – Energy, Midstream and Downstream

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical expert for clients, sales teams, and supplier partners.

• Perform site assessments to analyze customer operations and pinpoint areas for enhancement.

• Offer troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical advice for customer applications.

• Assist with product implementation, initiation activities, and continuous program enhancement.

• Create technical proposals, application solutions, and presentations for customers.

• Conduct joint visits with sales and supplier representatives to engage customers.

• Provide training on products and industry knowledge for customers and internal teams.

• Discover new business prospects through customer interactions and market analysis.

• Collaborate with suppliers on product development, technical assistance, and new product introductions.

• Participate in industry events, trade shows, and technical conferences.

• Maintain records of customer activities, opportunity tracking, and market intelligence reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline is preferred.

• Over 5 years of experience in technical sales, field service, field engineering, process engineering, or industrial operations.

• Experience in supporting clients in midstream or downstream oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, terminal, or pipeline operations.

• Strong skills in troubleshooting, technical problem-solving, and customer engagement.

• Capability to create and present technical solutions to various levels within client organizations.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and project management abilities.

• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite.

• Willingness to travel frequently to client sites within the designated territory.
