Application Modernization Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead client exploration sessions and assessments to evaluate AI readiness, identifying high-impact use cases.

• Convert unclear business requirements into organized technical architectures and implementation roadmaps.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, influencing strategic decisions regarding Agentic AI adoption.

• Facilitate workshops, design sessions, and architecture reviews involving cross-functional teams.

• Develop and sustain reusable solution frameworks, playbooks, and reference architectures.

• Create and maintain proof-of-concepts and reference implementations that illustrate business value.

• Define integration patterns for linking AI agents with enterprise systems (CRMs, ERPs, APIs, data lakes).

• Create and present engaging, live demonstrations of agentic AI functionalities tailored to specific client contexts and industries utilizing the Kyndryl Agentic Framework (KAF).

• Design and communicate compelling solution narratives — ranging from executive presentations to in-depth technical discussions.

• Generate comprehensive project estimates that encompass effort, cost, risk, timeline, and team composition, utilizing Kyndryl’s solution calculator and other tools.

• Prepare Statements of Work (SOWs), respond to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and develop sections for technical proposals.

• Define MVP scopes and phased delivery plans in alignment with client budgets and business priorities.

• Collaborate with sales, consulting, and legal teams to structure technically sound and deliverable engagements.

• Oversee technical due diligence for new opportunities and assess the feasibility of proposed solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, software engineering, or technical consulting.

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in developing LLM-powered or agentic AI applications in production environments.

• Proven success in a client-facing advisory or pre-sales architecture capacity.

• Extensive expertise with at least one agentic framework: LangChain/LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, or a similar alternative.

• Strong proficiency in Python; familiarity with TypeScript/Node.js is an advantage.

• Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, Chroma) and embedding pipelines.

• Demonstrated capability to scope and estimate intricate Agentic AI projects based on discovery inputs.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; effective with both engineers and executives.

• Experience in delivering live technical demonstrations to client audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.

• Understanding of responsible AI principles, data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA), and enterprise security requirements.

• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
