Application Manager, HVDC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Delivers technical knowledge and devises technical solutions for the Service FACTS/HVDC/AC substations portfolio during the pre-ITO (requisition) phase, collaborating with the commercial team.

• Directs a team of Field Service Engineers and Technicians.

• Possesses extensive knowledge of FACTS, HVDC, and AC substation markets along with customer economic factors to aid in developing successful bid strategies.

• Collaborates with global regional FACTS/HVDC/Service CT and provides support to regional teams as needed.

• Serves as the main technical liaison for regional Service FACTS/HVDC inquiries.

• Functions as the primary technical link between Service, Sales, Project Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing.

• Participates in customer meetings to identify solutions that address the needs of Service FACTS, HVDC, and AC substation clients.

• Works in close partnership with field engineers, back-office teams, and engineering to pinpoint new product and service opportunities.

• Initiates global commercial campaigns for new Service FACTS, HVDC, and AC substation products and services.

• Offers technical guidance for HVDC solutions throughout the project and service lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in engineering/technology and customer application engineering.

• Educational qualifications equivalent to a Master's degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma accompanied by relevant experience.

• Familiarity with HVDC, FACTS, or high-voltage systems.

• Robust technical expertise coupled with a service-oriented and customer-focused mindset.

• Organized, proactive, and solution-driven work style.

• Effective communicator in cross-functional settings.

• Proficiency in English and German.
