This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The North America Defense Application Engineer will be tasked with driving technical sales for defense-oriented programs, focusing primarily on military base electrification projects and other defense-related opportunities.
• This position involves delivering technical leadership throughout the sales project lifecycle, from defining requirements and system architecture to submitting proposals, conducting design reviews, and engaging with customers.
• The engineer will serve as a vital technical liaison with defense customers, prime contractors, and internal teams in engineering, product management, and program management to ensure that solutions fulfill functional requirements, adhere to technical and environmental standards, and achieve mission goals.
• A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, systems engineering, or a closely related technical field from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive engineering experience, which includes application engineering, systems engineering, or roles in power systems that support complex technical initiatives.
• At least 3 years of experience in writing technical proposals related to electrical systems.
• Proven experience working within defense, naval, or government-funded programs, including direct interactions with customers and program stakeholders.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Capability to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% as dictated by business needs.
